Summary on Grant Application Form |
This grant proposes to continue the work of grant GR/R09572 in an experiment is already scheduled. The experiment has been scheduled at the Central Laser Facility after passing a peer review process. The scheduled time however, falls just outside of the current grant expiry date. However, it falls close enough that an extension of only 2 months to the post-doctoral contract would allow the current PDRA to take part in this experiment . The experiment relates to X-ray scattering from dense Fe foils as a diagnostic of density in compressed plasmas and as a probe of electron-ion equilibration issues (the subject of the current grant).
