Summary on Grant Application Form |
A range of research projects is to be undertaken with the aim of identifiying new avenues for long-term programme development. These projects include (i) using porous silicon wafers as a template for forming new materials and using molecular chemistry to grow conducting nanowires directly at silicon wafers (ii) designing molecules in which the migration of electron is controllable (iii) developing new catalytic systems (iv) controlling the steric and electronic environment around lanthanide metal ions and (v) bio-inspired catalysts for hydrogen generation.
