The objectives of the Media Fellowship are to capitalize on the extensive range of contacts I have established in TV, radio and the print media in order to bring mathematics to the masses.The aim will be to try to achieve the following goals during the course of the fellowship:(1) To make at least one major television series about mathematics. (2) To write one major mathematics book (Duelling with the Monster).(3) To create several radio series about mathematics, following up on the success of my series for Radio 4 5 Shapes (4) To write 8 feature articles for newspapers and magazines a year.(5) To be available for comment on radio and TV on issues relating to mathematics and science and society. The aim will be to use my contacts to get science into some of the major news and comment programmes like Start the Week and Question Time.
