Summary on Grant Application Form |
The construction industry does not put much money directly into research on the behaviour of the ground and structures in the ground, such as tunnels and foundations for buildings. It can also be reluctant to use new experimental techniques and recent advances in theory. The grant would enable a mobile exhibit to be developed that would provide industry with a better picture of the research being carried out in the UK and explain new experimental techniques.
