The extension of the World Wide Web to include not only textual information (as it is at present) but also a wide range of computational resources such as supercomputers, databases etc. is the main objective of the work of this proposal. This requires providing new software and facilities to enable access to these computational facilities in a transparent, secure and easy to use fashion.
