Summary on Grant Application Form |
The aim of our project is to bring to the market a low-cost high -rate process for the fabrication of lengths of 2nd generation superconducting coated conductor. The process is called hybrid liquid phase epitaxy(HLPE). We are beyond the proof-of-concept stage and now need to show cost-effective, demonstrator lengths of quality technical conductor. As well as the practical development of a conductor, by the end of the project, we also aim to have a business plan formulated, with key patent applications also in place.
