Summary on Grant Application Form |
The primary objective of the DTC will be to meet the demand for fully trained scientists from mathematical, physical, and engineering sciences backgrounds, to work on life sciences interface projects within these three flagship application areas. This will be achieved through the development of an innovative and comprehensive 4-year training programme based on a common core of training requirements from across the three application areas. Over the five year funding period we aim to establish the Centre as the main focus for research training at the life sciences interface, and to secure a sufficient base of industrial and Research Council funding to secure its long-term future.
