Summary on Grant Application Form |
To design a pre-production prototype Flexible Machinery Controller (FMC) capable of serving as a flexible tool for the development and implementation of high speed machine systems incorporating independently actuated mechanisms including time critical components. The Aston contribution will be research on the use of formal and semi-formal methods in the specification, simulation, validation and design of co-ordination and synchronisation logic; the development of software support tools, and an investigation of the use of such tools.
