Summary on Grant Application Form |
To devise a system which may be used by the designer, at the design modelling stage, to predict the effects of tolerance variations and environmental variations on the performance of the product being designed. The designer's objective in using the system will be to select mean values from the design quantities (sizes, material properties, process values etc.) such that any variations will have a minimal effect on the design's performance.
