Summary on Grant Application Form
To investigate the possibilities of selective magnetic separation of ores, containing feromagnetic (ferro, antiferro and ferrimagnetic) minerals whose close and overlapping magnetic attraction render them inseparable in standard magnetic separators, by using novel separation devices, employing alternating magnetic fields (AMF) with intensities below the coercivity of the minerals and in direct magnetic fields (DMF) of reduced gradient.
