Summary on Grant Application Form |
To devise new ac-to-dc conversion processes for induction motor drives. Target objectives for the conversion process include: sinusoidal input and output currents, no energy storage elements, good emc profile, low cost and small size. The drive must have high bandwidth and good efficiency. Several competing solutions will be devised and evaluated. A key area of research will be the development of new methods of silicon management.
