Summary on Grant Application Form
To extend the basic binary mixture VLE version of A Generalised Approach to Phase Equilibria (AGAPE) to accommodate multicomponent mixtures, conformationally mobile molecules, hydrogen bonding and highly polar interactions. To develop AGAPE for the prediction of liquid-liquid and gas-liquid equilibria. The pace at which the present SERC funded project is proceeding successfully has enabled preliminary consideration of methods for the future development and applications of AGAPE. The present application is directed to ensuring that the momentum of the AGAPE project is maintained so that the intellectual tools that it is providing are developed in the most cost effective manner and passed on to the benefit of industry in the shortest possible time.
