Summary on Grant Application Form |
The main objectives are: to study the kinetics to complex amine-expoxide reactions using unique radiochemical methodology developed at Surrey, to model the reactions, to evaluate the properties of the resins through eg dynamic mechanical analysis, DSC, strength and modulus determination and fracture toughness measurements on cast resins or fibre-reinforced composites and to correlate the data so as to improve our understanding of the relationship between structure and molecular properties.
