Summary on Grant Application Form |
(i) To demonstrate control of mechanical behaviour for interfaces formed by in-situ reaction in SiC/silicate composites, with varying fabrication condition. (ii) To synthesise and characterise interfaces formed by SiC fibre precoating (PVD and CV). (iii) To relate micromechanical parameters (shear stress etc) to macromechanical response of composites with CVI SiC and refractory glass- ceramic matrices.
