|
To investigate and evaluate the design and implementation of a modelling system aimed at assisting in the construction of diagnostic reasoning systems for the collaborator's electromechanical domain. The system will combine knowledge from different representations, such as structural and functional forms. The aim is to build a prototype system that will act as an intelligent support tool to allow designers to construct, analyse and modify system models. Such a tool will be a significant advance on existing commercial systems which only have structural information.
