Summary on Grant Application Form |
1) To extend the existing single view planar surface model acquisition process: a) to more complex surfaces suitable for real industrial parts, b) to merge descriptions taken from multiple views, so as to build up a full 3D shape model and c) to improve the description of features.2) To test the model acquisition process on a graded sequence of parts by using the models in an object recognition and location system. 3) To be able to predict the next viewpoint of a partially observed object for extending a partial model.
