1.To produce a design for a high-efficiency centrifugal separator to remove entrained liquid from high pressure gas streams.2.To reveal the fundamental processes of liquid separation with particular attention to the effects of surface tension and adhesion.3.To provide experimental data for an allied study into the numerical modelling of the separation of entrained liquid from gas streams.
