Summary on Grant Application Form |
The aim is to facilitate tolerance design - the task of designing an engineering artefact in such a way as to minimise the unwanted effects of uncontrollable variations in the manufacturing process. To this end we aim to describe, and implement and test will be investigated: the appropriate sampling of multiparameter space leading to the generation of useful models, and the most effective manner of ensuring, through visualisation techniques, that the expertise of the human designer is effectively utilised.
