Summary on Grant Application Form
The purpose of this application is the continuation of the work on novel microwave devices carried out under SERC/MOD grant GR/F 85123. Two main areas of investigation are proposed. (1) The continuation of work HTS delay line filters. The filters will be improved by consideration of synthesis algorithm and other modelling. Both linear phase and quadratic phase will be designed, produced and tested. (2) Slow wave structures will be investigated. These are specific transmission line structures which have a lower velocity than a normal transmission line. Such structures lend to reduced size filters and increased length delay lines.
