Summary on Grant Application Form
1. Research and development of a flexible linear SMFM probe array with simple distributed switching mechanism suitable for production in an arbitrary length useful for rapid detection of surface cracks and flaws in flat or curved metals. 2. Research and development of a suitable inversion technique for sizing surface cracks. 3. Development of a dedicated electronic system capable of performing switching, detection and data capturing. 4. Evaluation of the performnace of the array in practice (i.e. on real specimens).
