Summary on Grant Application Form |
This project aims to investigate the integration of machines in a production line environment with the use of distributed control techniques using Local Operating Network technology. The particular manufacturing application under consideration is a surface mount PCB production line based around pick and place robots and a Zone Convention Reflow oven. The integrated system resulting from this project is expected to demonstrate increased functionality and robustness of operation over the present arrangement.
