Summary on Grant Application Form |
To prepare and characterise novel core-shell emulsion droplets consisting of liquid polymer cores, with a thin, hard shell of controlled thickness and structure. The primary use of these materials would be in controlled release systems, for example, for use in pharmaceutical and agrochemical formulations. To this end the stability of the droplets to compression and shear would be studied, together with release rates of model organic molecules, representative of active molecules.
