We will investigate the novel disulphide structure in methanol dehydrogenase, and its relation to the prosthetic group (PQQ) and Ca++ in the cytochrome cL. The approaches used will include conventional biochemical techniques, together with protein modification, site-directed mutagenesis and X-ray crystallography.
