Summary on Grant Application Form |
Through an SERC LINK programme, a limited cluster analysis procedure has been designed for machine performance adjustment, efficiency and failure detection. The proposed research aims at building on the LINK programme by designing a Cluster Analysis algorithm from first, important principles in terms of the different aspects involved. Cluster centre trajectory tracking will also be included in order to predict when machinery operation is likely to cause problems or even failure. The analysis algorithm will be tried out on real machinery data and finally actually implemented on testbed machinery.
