Summary on Grant Application Form |
1.To exploit a completely new high P/low T technique, developed at Nottingham, for studying highly reactive organo-metallics; topics include dinitrogen and carbene complexes; metal-metal bonds; catalytic reactions, protonation and isolated ion pairs.2.To improve and develop further our prototype miniature high P/low T cell in which unstable molecules can be generated and their subsequent reactions can be studied in a controlled manner.3. To optimise the choice of polymers used as a matrices for these experiments.
