Summary on Grant Application Form
i) To implement tools for fault diagnosis and design for test for analogue and mixed signal ICs.ii) To extend the DFT algorithms to different levels of hierarchical abstraction.iii) To develop a fault modelling framework for different processes.iv) To develop criteria for test signals and pass/fail definitions.ProgressThe work is at a very early stage, having only run for a few months. During this period some background work and study of relevant literature has been undertaken. This has resulted in a fault diagnosis strategy based on the original work of Wey being adopted. This will be developed into the hierarchical approach. Computer code has been written for constructing a graphical representation of circuits on which the DFT algorithm can operate. Active discussions have taken place with engineers from Robert Bosch, GmbH, Germany who are likely to supply test circuits on which the algorithm can be applied.
