Summary on Grant Application Form |
The programme is designed to lead to the production of soft magnetoelastic multilayers. These will be developed by exploiting two particular aspects of the interface between multilayers; lattice mismatch and interface mixing. The aim is to achieve s100pm and Hc ~ 50A/m, in parallel, but at a lower level of activity, will be the production of amorphous thin films for enhanced magnetoelastic response at high frequencies. The results will be assessed for possible application of these materials in sensors and transducers.
