The design and implementation of safer industrial engine control systems.Two phases:Phase 1: An exploration of contemporary research in computer science to identify relevant areas for the above. Phase 2: Consult on the choice and implementation of proposed solutions.Progress: An initial exploration of the domain has taken place. A number of areas of computer science research have been identified for study. Documents detailing work plans have been developed and agreed as part of a proposal for Phase 2 work. Documents analysing the domain have been put forward for discussion. An assessment of the domain specific language Ladder Logic has begun with a view to exploring possible improvements.
