Summary on Grant Application Form |
The proposed research will investigate Near-Far resistant techniques applied to the problem of signal parameter estimation. Work has been reported by several authors (including ourselves on GR/G53644) on NFR detectors. Most of this work assumes perfect knowledge of the timing, frequency and phase offsets, which is not possible in practice. Our investigations of the effects of errors in these estimates have shown the need for parameter estimation algorithms which are also NFR.
