We plan to examine the synthesis, structures (including stereochemistry) and reactivity (including catalytic applications) of a series of 1-aza-allyl - and b-diketinimato-metal complexes Lm M[ h3-N(R)CBut)CHR] and LmM[[N(R)C(Ph)C(H)C(Ph)NR]m (R = SiMe (or H), m = 1, 2, or 3) and close analogues, including ansa-derivatives such as LmM[{N(R)C(But)CHR}2C6H4-o].
