Characterisation of the factors governing selectivity as a function of temperature in calix(4)arene esters with cations in water-inmiscible solvents from thermodynamic, structural and kinetic studies.2. Simulation will assist in the interpretation of experimental data and therefore, it will focus the direction of the research by giving insight into the microscopic origin of these interactions.3. Use of the results in understanding solvent extraction processes involving cations and neutral calixarene derivatives.
