Summary on Grant Application Form |
Recent work at Essex has shown that co-deposited Pt/WO3 electrodes are very active for the oxidation of dissolved methanol in sulphuric acid solutions, 60oC. This programme extends the work to temperatures up to 100oC by using PEM electroyles. This should significantly improve the life and performance, making it more suitable for powering electric vehicles.
