Summary on Grant Application Form |
The control of the morphology of CVD diamond films remains challenging although significant advances have been reported by two academic groups in Germany. This proposal is for travel funds only. The money will be used to visit two leading laboratories (Fraunhofer-Institut fur Schischt- und Oberflachentechnik, Hamburg and the Fraunhofer Institut for Angewandte Festkorperpphysik, Freiberg) as well as attend Diamond Films 93 in Portugal. It is intended that research discussions will lead to a deeper understanding of heteroepitaxy of diamond on silicon and will result in further collaboration.
