|
We propose to use the special facilities provided by thin slice area detection data collection to record diffraction patterns both on standard crystals for rapid structural characterisation and for samples which generate abnormal diffraction patterns, and to further develop special procedures to extract information from these which can be used to derive relevant structural features of the target samples. These methods will be based on modified algorithms for interpretation of frame images, using experience gained in a number of diffraction experiments.
