Summary on Grant Application Form
Direct emulsification of polymers will be studied. If the polymer is pre-dissolved in the monomer of a second polymers then dispersions of composite polymers may be formed by polymerising this monomer. Structures of the polymer-polymer materials will be investigated. Clearer understanding of key phenomena could lead to feasible ways of making new types of polymer dispersion which can be used without volatile solvents or excess surfactants.
