Summary on Grant Application Form |
Indentation bend testing of miniature disc samples offers the potential for establishing an advanced, material efficient approach for characterising creep deformation and fracture behaviour. The current research programme will study extension; time characteristics and damage development in pure Al and pure Cu. Evaluation of these data in combination with computer analysis, will quantify the transient and stationary state stress and strain distributions developed.
