Summary on Grant Application Form |
Matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionisation time-of-flight (MALDI-TOF) mass spectrometry will be developed into a routine analytical technique for accurate determination of molecular masses and elucidation of molecular structure of synthetic polymers. MALDI-TOF, in combination with Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance (FTICR) spectroscopy, will be applied to the study of state-of-the-art polymer chemistry, including group transfer polymerisation, screened anionic polymerisation and catalytic chain transfer polymerisation.
