Summary on Grant Application Form |
This proposal is in response to the acceptance by Dr. Hughes/Dr. Smith of EPSRC of the case for bridging funding for Dr. Soltani. My full 3 year grant proposal will appear shortly and will be for the area of 3-D flow separation at high speeds, and is a direct and logical development of the recently completed EPSCR/MOD grant (GR/G57277) on hypersonic separated flows which supported Dr. Soltani. The spirit of the work is, again, the close integration of CFD and experiment with the objective of producing good experimental data for interpretation of flow physics as well as a contribution to databases for CFD validation. The work under Item 6 comprises preliminary phases of this 3 year proposal.
