Summary on Grant Application Form |
The host-guest principle of self-replicator design will be exploited to construct new classes of minimal self-replicating systems. A library of replicator components will be synthesised and used to assess the kinetic behaviour of minimal self-replicators and to test current theoretical predictions. Crossover experiments will explore the adaptability of the synthetic self-replicators. Computer-based models will be developed to aid the analysis and design of self-replicating systems.
