Summary on Grant Application Form
The purpose of the proposed projects to investigate and improve current understanding of the flow around a fast ship hull with a transom stern by calculating the theoretical wave resistance using a Kelvin source distribution, both with and without corrections for the effects of trim and heave of the hull. The results of the calculations will be compared with available experimental data of total resistance, wave resistance and viscous resistance.
