Summary on Grant Application Form |
We have demonstrated the value of fast time-resolved infrared spectroscopy to probe the structure of the excited states of organometallic and co-ordination compounds. We plan to extend, under COST D4/0001/94, these measurements to species which have relevance to electronic devices. Specifically, using low-temperature glasses we plan to exploit our recent experiments on infrared rigidochromism and dichroic photoselection to the electron transfer properties of the excited states of bridged complexes and to the structure of *** excited states.
