|
We propose to study the properties of interacting electrons in low-dimensional systems, looking specifically for the proposed Luttinger liquid that is expected to occur in clean one-dimensional systems. The investigation will use high mobility electron gases, as well as being put into close proximity to similarly shaped electron and hole gases in adjacent parallel planes.
