Summary on Grant Application Form |
New technologies such as general internet availability, distributed intelligent software agents and sophisticated scheduling algorithms make possible a radical reconstructuring of the way in which consumer items are purchased and acquired. We propose to simulate the new trading structures, using a massively parallel computer, to assess the feasability of these ideas, determine what the emergent properties would be and to assess the consequences for transport.
