Summary on Grant Application Form |
The purpose of this proposal is to use our current empirical models of ionic liquid design, combined with new structural and computational studies, to generate a deeper understanding of the factors which control the freezing point of low melting ionic liquids (i.e. crystal engineering), and hence to develop a predictive model to allow genuine designer synthesis of novel ionic liquids.
