Summary on Grant Application Form |
Novel designs of both linear and rotary topologies of permanent magnet generators, and their associated rectification and energy storage systems, will be researched as potential alternatives to button cells, for applications such as quartz watches, electronic locks, pacemakers, sensore, transponders etc. The micro-generators will be based on multi-pole magnetised NdFeB magents, and the energy storage will be a supercapacitor.
