Summary on Grant Application Form |
It is proposed to establish the scope of a recent discovery concerning the activation of CaF2 in supercritical CO2 towards chloride for fluoride exchange reactions in activated substituted aromatic hydrocarbons. We propose to explore the range of substrates, supercritical fluids and modifiers to which this is applicable, and to identify possible intermediates in the activation process using both conventional methods and MVS techniques.
