Summary on Grant Application Form |
The proposal is to fund a new physics programme on electrical and optical phenomena in semiconductor heterostructures grown by MBE. Nottinghams established expertise in the GaAs/(A1Ga)As system will be used to produce a wide variety of structures to investigate carrier-carrier interaction effects associated with Wigner solidification, chared excitons, excitonic solids, carrier plasmon interaction and quantum chaos.
