Summary on Grant Application Form |
A planned exploratory experimental programme, using pilot scale NC-SRT membrane filter systems in conjunction with large scale fermenters to provide fresh broth, is to be carried out. This will provide initial data for the evaluation of performance characteristics, both in their own right and in relation to other conventional UF modules, and enable the concepts of a design model to be initiated. Applicant will visit Lehigh quarterly to review progress and be involved in planning next stages of the project; at other times contact will be by fax, phone and e-mail.
