Summary on Grant Application Form |
It is proposed to replace an old Oxford Instruments dilution refrigerator. It has been in almost continuous use since 1968, has led to a number of important scientific results, but has become increasingly unreliable. The best professional advice is that it is no longer realistic to try to repair and maintain this refrigerator, and that the time has come to supersede it.
