Continuation and expansion of the research programme of the Condensed Matter Theory Group in Theoretical Physics at Oxford. Research topics include: exact results for wetting and dynamics of interfaces and spreading; new methods for stochastic non-equilibrium systems including reaction-diffusion problems; complex dynamical systems and frustrated cellular automata; lattice Boltzmann equation and fluids; microemulsions; modulated structures; dilute magnetism and percolation; strongly correlated and disordered quantum systems, including frustrated antiferromagnets, quantum Hall effect, Anderson localisation, heavy fermions, quantum spin chains; excitons; rare earth multilayers; Jahn-Teller couplings in icosahedral systems.
